Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary a Parish Catholic School in the Bustleton section of Philadelphia was Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1948 and has been, a major part of the community ever since.

B.V.M. is a Pre K-3 to 8thGrade elementary Parish School with a thriving enrollment. The school has 20 classrooms, science lab, Technology lab, Media center Video studio, gymnasium and music room.
Maternity B.V.M. places an Emphasis on academic excellence in all subjects. Proof of this is the
numerous Neumann scholars the school has had. Our current 8thgraders are ranked in top 25% in the nation in their total score on the Terra Nova standardized test.
Education goes beyond the core subjects. Students are encouraged to express themselves in the Performing arts, after school clubs and sports.
