I have been at Maternity BVM for 7 years! Wow! I am a 17-year teacher with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. I graduated from Nazareth Academy High School and then attended Chestnut Hill College. I graduated from Chestnut Hill with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and a certification to teach Grades 7-12. I starting teaching High School Algebra and Geometry many years ago at Archbishop Wood High School. Then, I worked with different mortgage companies and banks before having my children. Once my children were in school, I returned to teaching at Our Lady of Ransom in the 5th and 8th grades. I then moved to Saint Bernard School and taught math and science for 5 years. I was so sad as I had to close that school. I took a few years off and substituted occasionally while caring for my father and aunt. I returned to teaching full-time at Our Lady of Consolation. I was there when this school closed as well. I then taught at Saint Pius School in Broomall until they constricted my position because their numbers had decreased. I moved to Cardinal Foley in Havertown for one year and then to Mother Teresa in King of Prussia for about 6 months. I then came to Maternity BVM to teach Math Matters and 6th Grade Math.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my immediate and extended family. We like to go shopping, go to fundraiser bingos and go to Wildwood. I am grateful for a wonderful husband and two beautiful children, Chris, age 26, and Casey, age 23. My son has been a Philadelphia Police Officer for almost 3 years. My daughter is a social worker.
