Preparation for the reception of the sacraments is an integral part of the ongoing process of religious instruction and formation at Maternity B.V.M. Specific preparation for the celebration of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion takes place in third grade; preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation will take place in 7th grade beginning in the 2019/20 school year. Reception of the Sacrament will be in the fall of 2020 for eighth graders. In addition to classroom instruction, students take part in programs which enrich and deepen sacramental understanding.
